Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has reportedly rejected an offer from Premier League rivals Manchester City and is now prepared to move away from England.
The Frenchman is looking to join either Real Madrid or Juventus as details about his future remain unclear.
SPORTbible reports that the 29-year-old became a transfer target for the Citizens as his contract with the Red Devils will lapse at the end of the ongoing season.
UK outlet The Athletic reports that the player has received a staggering proposal from Manchester City who are desperate to lure him to the Etihad during the summer.
It was gathered that Pogba contemplated over the deal but has finally decided to reject the proposal and will now set sights on other clubs.
Further reports have it that several top clubs in Europe are on the trail of the superstar including Real, PSG and Juve who are all thought to be the most contenders to land Pogba.
Members of the Sky Sports studios were ripped apart following the 'Pogba to City' idea, with Jamie Redknapp and Micah Richards arguing that it'd be a great signing for the club, while Jamie Carragher warned Guardiola from signing the 29-year-old.
Carragher said via Metro:
"I wouldn’t go anywhere near him. [City] win the league every year, they get 95-100 points every year. He doesn’t work hard enough or as much as the other players.
"If Pep could get that out of him, fantastic, there’s no doubt in his ability – no-one has ever doubted it."
