Manchester United are already preparing for the 2022/2023 season as the Premier League club is said to be ready to appoint its permanent manager.

Mauricio Pochettino, Carlo Ancelotti, and Erik ten Hag are considered the top contenders for the vacant permanent manager role at Old Trafford with one likely to be named before the end of the season.

Under-fire PSG coach, Mauricio Pochettino is believed to be the favorite choice by the United board to take over from Ralf Rangnick.

According to a report via Daily Mail, the Argentine would need to feel that he is top of the club's list of candidates before agreeing to move to Old Trafford next season.

The former Tottenham coach is facing the exit door at the Parc Des Princes after PSG were unceremoniously knocked out in the UEFA Champions League round-of-16.

Al-Khelaifi and Pochettino could be punished by UEFA

Meanwhile, the Paris Saint-Germain hierarchy could be clamped down on by UEFA after PSG were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, March 9.

According to Spanish news outlet Marca, Chairman, Nasser Al-Khelaifi and club manager, Mauricio Pochettino could be sanctioned by European Football body following their actions after the loss to Real Madrid.

Al-Khelaifi had entered the referees' room and shouted at the officials while Pochettino could be punished for his remarks against the refereeing decisions and the VAR.
