Greenwood is understood to have spent the night in custody after the police swooped over claims made on Sunday morning, January 30.

The Sun reports a host of United teammates have now unfollowed the youngster on social media, with Ronaldo among the first to do that.

Others who have since followed suit include Jesse Lingard, David De Gea, Paul Pogba, Edinson Cavani, and Scott McTominay.

Be that as it may, there are other squad members including captain Harry Maguire who are still following the star forward.

Man United's official Instagram and Twitter pages are also still following academy graduate who has been suspended from training and playing for the club.

In a statement released by United in the wake of the allegations, the Manchester club made it clear they did “not condone violence of any kind."

“Mason Greenwood will not return to training or play matches until further notice," a statement from the club said on Sunday.
