Man United Legend Names 2 Red Devils Stars to Blame for Aston Villa Draw
FootballPanic at Old Trafford as Cristiano Ronaldo Gives Condition to Stay at Man United
- Cristiano Ronaldo appears unsettled at Man United, barely months after he rejoined the club
- Reports suggest his representatives have informed the club he could depart this summer
- Ronaldo penned a two-year contract on his return to the Theatre of Dreams from Juventus
Cristiano Ronaldo's representatives have reportedly informed Man United the striker will leave the club in the summer should they fail to qualify for the Champions League.
The Portugal international sealed a stunning return to the Theatre of Dreams last August, penning a two-year deal in the process.
Ronaldo has been the shining light in the team, bagging an impressive 14 goals in 20 appearances so far for the Red Devils.
However, despite his spectacular goalscoring form, United have endured a somewhat poor run of results and currently languish down in seventh on the Premier League standings.
Metro UK citing SunSport now reports Ronaldo's representatives have voiced their concerns during a recent round of talks with United chiefs.
The publication claims the striker's camp is becoming increasingly concerned about the direction the club is headed, with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner understood to be desperate to end his career on a high.
While the 36-year-old has hinted at his desire to continue playing until he is 40, there are fears the Red Devils could deny him a chance of adding more silverware to his already decorated CV.
On his part, Ronaldo has not hidden his displeasure with United's poor run of form and has openly spoken about the situation at Old Trafford.
Ronaldo misses Brentford trip
Earlier, Sports Brief reported Manchester United top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo was conspicuously missing as the Red Devils boarded their flight to London for their Premier League game against Brentford on Wednesday, January 19.
Ronaldo had missed the Red Devil’s 2-2 draw against Aston Villa over the weekend with Ralf Rangnick men dropping two vital points after letting a 2 goal lead slip allowing Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa to steal a point.
The 36-year old was in Switzerland 24 hours earlier as he collected a special Fifa award for breaking the all-time international scoring record.
