Cancelo and Guardiola fell out

The relationship between Cancelo and Guardiola is said to have become strained, with the pair allegedly falling out.

SunSport claims that the strained relationship reached the boiling point recently and culminated in a bust-up at the training ground.

At the time, Cancelo was reportedly furious with his manager after he found out that he had been dropped from the starting XI.

Until the defender's imminent exit, the Portugal international had started only three of the club's 10 fixtures since returning from the World Cup.

The 28-year-old may have played his last match for the Citizens, with Bayern having the option of making his move permanent for £61.5-million.

When did Cancelo join City?

Cancelo signed for Man City in the summer of 2019 from Juventus and has gone on to spend three years with the reigning English champions.

The right-back penned a six-year contract after the move and was expected to remain at the Etihad Stadium until 2025.

The Portuguese ace has previously played for La Liga side, Valencia and Serie A giants, Inter Milan.

Guardiola told to drop Haaland

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on how Guardiola was advised to drop Haaland from the starting XI and experiment with the team ahead of their clash with Arsenal.

The Norwegian goal machine was yet to make his FA Cup debut, with World Cup winner Julian Alvarez trusted to lead the line.

Guardiola is expected to name a strong XI against the Gunners tomorrow, as this is a Premier League match and a clash of top two teams in the English top flight.
