Guardiola makes big and urgent statement on İlkay Gundogan's future at Man City

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Pep Guardiola stated clearly that he wants İlkay Gundogan to remain at Manchester City even though the German midfielder has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal this summer.

Arsenal are preparing to bolster their squad for the coming season with the Gunners' chiefs ready to support Mikel Arteta in luring some big names to the Emirates stadium.

As things stand, İlkay Gundogan has only one more year remaining on his contract at Manchester City and the club's chiefs have not talked to him on possible renewal of deal.

Gundogan has been playing for Manchester City since 2016 joining from Dortmund and the German has won three Premier League titles.
