Manchester City owner, Sheikh Mansour is considered the next Premier League club owner currently being considered for sanctions by the UK Government.
Mansour is believed to be affiliated with Syrian President, Bashar Al-Assad who has overseen an 11-year-old civil war and has been accused of war crimes by the United Nations.
According to a report via Sport Bible, Member of Parliament, Chris Byrant has questioned Sheikh Mansour's rights to own a Premier League club.
"What is it that people don’t get? There’s been a form of barbarous, sustained murder going on in Syria, run jointly by Assad, and now Putin is doing exactly the same in a barbaric war of aggression against innocent sovereign Ukraine.
"And some people want to meet up with the bully boys?"
Chris Byrant was the first MP to speak out about Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich calling for sanctions to be meted on the billionaire after Russia had invaded Ukraine.
UK Government approves Chelsea sale to resume
Meanwhile, there seem to be a bit of respite for Chelsea football club after the UK Government had a change of heart on the sale of the London Club.
According to Fan Nation, discussions have been held between the government and Raine, the US bank handling the sale of Chelsea, and the process is to resume as it was before Roman Abramovich was sanctioned.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported following the sanctions imposed on Roman Abramovich by the UK government in their response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, it means that the Blues owner can no longer sell the club.
For the past few days, Roman Abramovich has been planning to sell Chelsea after being attacked on social media for his country's invasion of Ukraine with many claiming that he is close to President Vladimir Putin.
The recent move by the UK government is to stop Roman Abramovich from making money from the sales of Premier League side Chelsea.
