Several Mamelodi Sundowns supporters who attended the team's MTN8 semi-final second leg against Orlando Pirates let the occasion get to them.
The Brazilians were thoroughly rinsed 3-0 by the Buccaneers at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Saturday afternoon.
Kermit Erasmus opened the scoring for the visitors, before the unstoppable Monnapule Saleng struck a brace to put the match beyond doubt.
A video on Twitter and TikTok has since emerged, showing travelling Sundowns fans fighting at a petrol station near the stadium in the wake of their club's defeat, as per The Citizen.

Journalist Themba Tshabalala, who posted the video, said:
“I was shocked by how Mamelodi Sundowns fans beat up one of their own at a petrol station in Polokwane after the match. That was wrong in every way imaginable!”
Elsewhere, the Daily Sun reported on how another video showed jubilant Pirates invading the pitch following the final whistle. They had every reason to be, as their team had not beaten Sundowns since early 2020.
Pirates will take on Amazulu in the final of Wafa Wafa on 05 November at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

Junior Khanye, the popular Diski TV pundit who was convinced that Sundowns would win the tie, graciously admitted how wrong he was. Before the match, Khanye had predicted that Sundowns could win by as many as four goals.
