He said:

"Well done to Orlando Pirates. We need to give credit as it is due. It was not easy. They beat the champions convincingly. Mamelodi Sundowns did not play smart football. Pirates' strategy worked well. Sundowns must also take the blame for their loss.

"Sundowns approached this game like they had already lost. Let's start with their three coaches. Why did they put Asavela Mvala ahead of The Engineer, Andile Jali. You have an engine that makes the whole system work. Why do you keep someone so valuable out of the team. I don't know what the coaches were trying to do."

Khanye had predicted that Sundowns could win by as far as four goals before the match.

Sundowns 0:3 Orlando Pirates: Monnapule Salang was not out for Kermit Erasmus goal

Orlando Pirates is on cloud nine this morning.

The Buccaneers hammered Mamelodi Sundowns 3-0 in the second leg of the MTN8 semifinal at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane. A double from Monnapule Saleng as well as a solitary one from Kermit Erasmus ensured that Pirates went safely into the final of the competition.

There has been a debate about the validity of Erasmus' goal in the eighth minute of the match. The red-hot Saleng made mincemeat of Aubrey Modiba on the goal-line of Sundowns' box before feeding the former Brazilians' striker with the easiest of crosses to head in.
