Mamelodi Sundowns have dipped back into the transfer market again.

While the Brazilians have only announced one new signing already, they have been reported to have added more players to their ranks.

Masandawana are now said to have signed highly-rated defender, Abdelmounaim Boutouil, The South African reported.

The 24-year-old signed with the reigning DStv Premiership champions from SCC Mohammedia.

Sundowns currently have defenders in the form of Rushine De Reuck, Grant Kekana, Brian Onyango, Mosa Lebusa and Bangaly Soumahoro, but are looking to strengthen their squad as they look to challenge in the CAF Champions League.

Sundowns are yet to confirm the signing, or that of Ronwen Williams, but are expected to make an announcement during the week.

As reported by TransferMarkt, Boutouil is valued at € 425 000 and enjoyed spells at Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca, as well as playing for a period of time in Belgium.

It did not take long for George Maluleka to find himself a team, signing on with Amazulu.

The 33-year-old midfielder's contract at Mamelodi Sundowns expired at the end of last month, having barely featured for the DStv Premiership champions since joining them from Kaizer Chiefs in 2020.

He did win a Treble with them in 2021/22 and the league in 2021, but only made 19 appearances for the Brazilians in that time.

Mamelodi Sundowns have become synonymous with success.

Masandawana wrapped up a domestic treble this season while also securing their fifth Premier Soccer League title in a row.

It’s that continued success that attracts big-name players and it’s why Sipho Mbule opted to sign for Sundowns.
