Nhlanhla Mgaga opened the scoring in the 29th minute for the Maroons. Caleb Bimenyimana levelled matters from the spot after he won the Amakhosi in the fourth minute of referee's optional time of the first half.
The Burundian then doubled the lead after yet another soft penalty in the 49h minute. He completed his unique hat-trick via another penalty when he was brought down by Moegamad de Goede in what was a professional foul. The latter saw a red card for his offence.

Coach Arthur Zwane will be concerned that rejuvenated starting goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune had to be substituted after suffering an injury.

Pitso Mosimane's tiff with Mamelodi Sundowns is yet to reach a resolution.
