Kaizer Chiefs have one thing on their mind when they take on TS Galaxy in the DStv Premiership; revenge.

Despite TS Galaxy being outclassed by the Amakhosi on paper, the Mpumalanga based side have been a jinx team for Chiefs of late.

TS Galaxy famously beat the Amakhosi in the 2019 final of the Nedbank Cup, before following that up by eliminating them from this year’s Nedbank Cup tournament. The previous match between the two sides in the DStv Premiership ended in a goalless draw.

Despite being one of the new sides in the League, TS Galaxy doesn’t lack any confidence. As reported by IOL, TS Galaxy owner, Tim Sukazi, said that his team’s rivalry with Chiefs was one of the biggest in the country.

Form heading into the game

Kaizer Chiefs got back to winning ways over the weekend when they beat Chippa United 3-1. TS Galaxy had a much different weekend when they were beaten 4-1 by Royal AM.

Kaizer Chiefs will be without star player

Khama Billiat put in a man of the match performance against Chippa United in the DStv Premiership over the weekend, but will sadly miss out on the clash against TS Galaxy. Billiat will be serving a one-match suspension, Soccer Laduma reported.

Without one of their star players available, the Amakhosi will be hoping to overcome a determined TS Galaxy outfit.

Kaizer Chiefs return to winning ways, Keagan Dolly scores stunning freekick as Amakhosi overcome Chippa United

Kaizer Chiefs returned to winning ways in the DStv Premiership as they overcame Chippa United 3-1. Samir Nurković, Keagan Dolly and Cole Alexander all got onto the scoresheet for the Amakhosi.

The two-week international break seemed to have benefitted the Amakhosi as they looked fresh and ready to renew their charge for second place in the DStv Premiership, Sports Brief earlier reported.

Kaizer Chiefs took the lead in the 23rd minute when Samir Nurković scored. The Serbian forward has been out of action recently but marked his return to the squad with a goal. The goal also happened to be his first goal of the season.
