Ghanaian Football Legends Asamoah Gyan and Kwadwo Asamoah Attend CAF President's Achievement Awards in Kigali

• Former Black Stars players Asamoah Gyan and Kwadwo Asamoah are on CAF and FIFA duties in Rwanda
• The Ghanaian duo are part of a list of legends invited for the CAF President's Achievement Awards
• Gyan and Asamoah will also attend the FIFA Congress on Thursday as part of their designated duties

Asamoah Gyan and Kwadwo Asamoah honoured an invitation from CAF President, Patrice Motsepe after attending the Outstanding Achievement Awards in Rwanda.

The former Ghana captain and the ex-Juventus star were among several African football legends at the ceremony in honour of the President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame and King Mohammed VI of Morocco.

The two heads of states were awarded by Dr Motsepe following their massive contributions to football on the continent.

Also in attendance at the ceremony was FIFA President, Gianni Infantino.

The duo of Gyan and Asamoah will also attend the 73rd FIFA Congress, along with Ghana Football Association officials, Prosper Harrison Addo and Mark Addo.

"CAF and FIFA duties with my bro Kwadwo Asamoah and Ghana Football Association officials, for the love of the game," Gyan wrote on Twitter.

Other high-profile personalities who attended the glamorous event are Cameroonian legend in women’s football Gaelle Enganamouit, South African record-breaking female footballer Portia Modise, her compatriot Amanda Dlamini, Senegal’s Khalilou Fadiga, DR Congo’s Herita Ilunga, the Indomitable Lion’s Pierre Webo, former South Africa captain Lucas Radebe, and Nigeria’s Super Falcons legend Perpetua Nkwocha, per CAFonline.com.

Gyan and Asamoah were close pals during their days in the national team, with the pair playing a starring role as Ghana reached the 2010 AFCON final.

The 36-year-old, one of the country's greatest sporting icons, celebrated the day as the west African nation turned 66.

Ghana gained independence from British colonial rule almost seven decades earlier, on March 6, 1957.

Asamoah Gyan visits Atsu's family

Former Black Stars players, led by ex-captain, Gyan and midfielder, Sulley Muntari have visited family of Christian Atsu.

The winger tragically passed away following a devastating earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria on February 6.

After 12 days of being trapped under rubble, Atsu's body was recovered on February 18 before being transported for his final rites.
