Asamoah Gyan hilariously trolled Nigeria as he was presented with a birthday cake live on TV as he turned 37 on November 22, 2022.

The former Black Stars captain who will be missing the World Cup in Qatar is currently working with SuperSport TV as a resident expert.

Before the game between Argentina and Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, the striker received a cake with a photo of his famous celebration against the United States at the World Cup in South Africa.

And while Gyan was celebrating the moment, he subtly jabbed Nigerians saying the cake was dominated by the colours of the West African nation.

The legendary forward has been to three World Cups and remains Africa's all-time leading scorer at the competition. The Ghanaian forward has scored six goals at three tournaments from 2006 to 2014.

Ghana returned to the global stage after edging Nigeria in the play-offs.

The four-time African champions have been drawn against Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay in Group H.

Asamoah Gyan turns 37

Asamoah Gyan acquires coaching license

Legendary Ghanaian footballer Asamoah Gyan has been awarded a UEFA B coaching license by the Welsh Football Association.

The 36-year-old travelled to Wales in June this year for a six-day residential training as part of the process of acquiring his certificate.

In a photo posted on social media, the striker is seen displaying his UEFA B license card and certificate.
