Daniel-Kofi Kyereh has revealed that Brazilian football icon, Ronaldinho, ranks top of his list of best players.

The Ghana and SC Freiburg star admires Ronaldinho and tries to carve his style of play like the former Barcelona midfielder.

Kyereh has been on a run of good form in recent games, scoring in back-to-back matches for the German Bundesliga side.

"Joyful and determined. If you watch me play, you'll notice how much I enjoy the game," he told GQ. "Ronaldinho. The joy and energy he brought to the game makes me love to watch football," he added when asked of his favourite player.

Kyereh joined SC Freiburg in the summer transfer window from St Pauli. The 26-year-old has been a key player for the Bundesliga club, scoring his debut goal against Mainz last week.

Although he was born to a German mother and a Ghanaian father, he decided to play for the Black Stars in October 2021. He was a member of the Black Stars at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon earlier this year.

Kyereh seems to have gained his place in the Black Stars team ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, after impressing coach Otto Addo during the international break. He featured in the games against Brazil and Nicaragua.

Daniel-Kofi Kyereh scores first Europa League goal

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Daniel-Kofi Kyereh scored for the second game running for SC Freiburg as the German outfit defeated FC Nantes in the Europa League on Thursday night.

The 26-year-old's second half strike gave Freiburg the lead in the 2-0 victory over the Ligue 1 side as the Bundesliga outfit maintained their hundred percent record in this season's Europa League.

In a video posted on social media, Kyereh slotted home the opener after meeting a pass from Ritsu Doan. Read more:
