Ghanaians took to social media to heap praise on teen sensation Felix Afena-Gyan after scoring his maiden goal for the Black Stars.

The 19-year-old forward needed only three games to break his goalscoring duck for the national team, when he scored in Ghana's comprehensive win over Madagascar in the 2023 AFCON qualifiers.

Aside his goal, Afena-Gyan also contributed with an assist before he was substituted later on in the game by head coach Otto Addo.

Felix Afena Gyan has netted his first international goal for Ghana as they lead Madagascar 2-0 in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying game on Wednesday.

The AS Roma forward connected to Gideon Mensah's ball to give Ghana a second goal at the Cape Coast Stadium.

It took the 19-year-old striker three games to score his debut goal for the four-time African champions.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that AS Roma teen sensation Felix Afena-Gyan presented his UEFA Conference League winner's medal to his mother, Juliet Adubea upon his arrival in Ghana.

The 19-year-old forward became the youngest ever Ghanaian to win a European competition when his Roma side edged Feyenoord on Wednesday, May 25.

Although Afena-Gyan did not feature in the final game, he earned a winner's medal after making six appearances in the inaugural Conference League competition.
