Ghana Midfielder Sends Heartwarming Message to Son Who Just Began Football Career

Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso has backed his son to follow his dreams of becoming a footballer after he made an appearance for his club in Spain.

Wakaso Junior plays for juvenile side Club Costa City in Elche, Spain and featured for them when they played Atletico Madrid.

In a message posted on social media, Wakaso sent encouraging words to his son and believes the boys will reach his goals.

"You will get there soon, son," he posted on Facebook while sharing the photos across his social media pages.

Wakaso Junior is just beginning his football career but comes from a family that has already produced two players for the national team, his father Mubarak and uncle, Alhassan Wakaso.

Mubarak Wakaso is one of the most hardworking players to have represented Ghana, and has played in multiple Africa Cup of Nations and was a member of the 2014 World Cup squad in Brazil.

The former Deportivo Alaves star was also part of the Black Stars team at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon early this year, but failed to make an appearance due to injury.

Wakaso last played for Chinese Super League side Shenzen FC. He is currently unattached and reports indicate he might be returning to Spain this summer.

The story of Johnson Antwi, a crippled commentator was brought to light by Tv3 during the Super Two clash between Hearts and Kotoko in June.

In photos posted by Tv3 on Twitter, management of the station presented the items and the cash from Mubarak Wakaso to Johnson Antwi.
