Black Stars forward Emmanuel Gyasi scored a 94th-minute winner to give Spezia a 1-0 win over Venezia in the Serie A on Saturday.
The Ghanaian international pounced on a loose ball to tap home the only goal of the game after a pair of Venezia defensive errors deep into stoppages.
The 28-year-old started and played the entirety of the game but his celebrations after the last-gasp winning goal saw him get into the books of the referee.
Gyasi has been in superb form for Spezia, netting five goals in 30 games as they are placed 14th on the Serie A league log, and eight points adrift of relegation.
Despite his fine form for the Alberto Picco outfit, Gyasi was dropped for the Africa Cup of Nations hosted in Cameroon in January this year after coach Milovan Rajevac failed to invite him.
He was also not part of the Black Stars team that defeated the Super Eagles of Nigeria to book a place in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
How Gyasi fared against Venezia
Emmanuel Gyasi started the game as the main striker for Thiago Motta's side against fellow Serie A strugglers Venezia as they battle for safety.
The Black Stars forward had one shot on target, had 32 touches won eight duels and made one successful dribbles in the game he was rated 8.0 as per AfroStat.
Emmanuel Gyasi will lead his team as they travel to Tuscany to face Empoli next weekend.
