  • Moses Simon has assured the Super Eagles will defeat the Black Stars in tomorrow's crunch World Cup play-off return leg
  • Nigeria will play host to Ghana at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on Tuesday, March 29 in the reverse fixture between the West African neighbours
  • With the scoreline locked at 0-0 after the first leg, the game still hangs in the balance but Nigeria will want to capitalize on home advantage to grab one of Africa's five tickets to the World Cup

FC Nantes and Super Eagles winger Moses Simon is positive Nigeria will pick the sole ticket at stake when Nigeria trades tackles with Ghana in the return leg of the World Cup play-offs.

Simon's Nigeria held Ghana to a scoreless draw in an entertaining first leg of the all-important World Cup doubleheader staged at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

He was a pale shadow of the player that put the fear of God in defenders when the Super Eagles played as guests to the Black Stars last Friday.

The 26-year-old flying winger arguably had the best chance of the keenly contested fixture when his effort from inside the box found the legs of Ghanaian shot-stopper Jojo Wollacott.

After the game, he received a lot of flak for his no-show in Kumasi and the wideman is now poised to torment the Ghanaian defence in the reverse fixture tomorrow.

Speaking at the pre-match conference, Moses Simon was highly confident the Black Stars will crumble in Abuja.

“We were okay with the draw in Ghana because we know when they come here, they will take it” Simon told pressmen ahead of the 2nd leg tie tomorrow.

What has been Nigeria's home form in the World Cup play-offs?

The Super Eagles won one of their three home games in the second phase of the World Cup qualifiers.

The three-time African champions defeated Liberia in their first home game before losing narrowly to minnows Central African Republic and sharing the spoils with Cape Verde before reaching the third and final phase of the qualifiers.

Napoli marksman Victor Osimhen swears not to underestimate Ghana in the reverse tie

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen has promised Nigeria will at no point underrate the Black Stars of Ghana when both teams clash again in Abuja.

Both countries had played an uninspiring goalless draw at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Friday, March 25 in the first leg of the World Cup play-offs.

According to a report via Pulse Sports, Osimhen disclosed that the Super Eagles have what it takes to come out triumphant against the Ghanaians.
