Ghana and Nigeria will reignite their hostilities when they cross swords for the second time in a space of four days for one of Africa's five available tickets for the upcoming World Cup.

Despite the firepower, Nigeria boasts of, the defence of the Black Stars marshalled by Daniel Amartey was able to shut them out in an enthralling first leg staged in Kumasi.

Based on the rock-solid performance of the defence in conjunction with a collective approach, Agyemang Badu believes the senior men's national team will book a fourth appearance at the global showpiece under the noses of their Nigerian counterparts.

“Looking at the Nigeria side I think Ghana has the ability to beat them and qualify for the World Cup. The Nigerians cannot qualify for this World Cup” he said as quoted by Football Ghana.

What was Ghana's result when they last played in Nigeria?

The Super Eagles walloped their Ghanaian counterparts in a similar World Cup play-off tie 21 years ago.

A first-half double from Tijani Babangida plus a strike from Victor Agali at the Liberation Stadium, Port Harcourt propelled Nigeria past the Ghanaians with an emphatic 3-0 win.
