Asamoah Gyan has been presented with a plaque and a jersey by former club Al Ain after visiting the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday.

The club honoured the former Ghana captain following his legendary stint with the club between 2011 to 2015.

In a statement posted on the club's official website, Asamoah Gyan expressed gratitude to the club for their warm welcome.

"I would like first to congratulate all Al-Ainawiya on the occasion of qualifying for the League Cup final, with all the sincere wishes of the team for success," he said.
"It is difficult for me to express my feelings towards Al-Ain, the great club that I love and adore, and in which I spent a wonderful period, and I have memories that cannot fall from my memory, and I will not reveal a secret if I tell you that I consider it the best club ever for me, and personally, I am very happy to be back in my big home," added Asamoah Gyan.

Asamoah Gyan was met by Vice Chairman of the club, Khaled Abdullah Hamar Ain Al Dhaheri and other officials.

The all time leading scorer of Ghana spent time to watch Al Ain as they beat Al Jazira to progress to the semi-fianals of the Etisalat Cup.

Gyan is believed to be in the United ARab Emirates to invite his former team to the launch of his memoir.

Asamoah Gyan presents invites East Legon Fitness club members to launch of memoir

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Asamoah Gyan has invited the country's richest men to the launch of his memoir next month after visiting the East Legon Fitness club on Sunday, March 6, 2022.

The former Ghana captain spent time with the affluent in Ghana during their work out session on the country's Independence Day to provide them with invites for the release of his book.

Asamoah Gyan took to social media to express delight in meeting them after assistance from former teammate, Samuel Osei Kuffuor, who is a member of the club.
