Ghana international Richmond Boakye Yiadom mustered a goal for Beitar Jersualem in their humbling defeat to Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Israeli elite division.
A dull first half was replaced by a four-goal blitz in the second stanza of the match as the home side recorded a fourth win in five games to keep tabs with league leaders Maccabi Haifa.
Yiadom came in as a second half substitute for Beitar Jerusalem, replacing Suriname forward Gleofilo Vlijter after 57 minutes.
How did Maccabi Tel Aviv defeat Yiadom's Beitar Jerusalem?
Tel Aviv broke the deadlock after 61 minutes through Croatian forward Stipe Perica before Djordje Jovanovic doubled the lead five minutes later.
Boakye Yiadom scored what will eventually be a consolation in the 70th minute as defender Matan Hozez put the game beyond the reach of Beitar in stoppage time.
Yiadom's performance for Ghana
Yiadom will have his chin up following his fifth goal of the season as he aims to maintain his goalscoring feat to attract the eyes of the Black Stars technical team ahead of the World Cup play-offs against Nigeria.
The 29-year-old former Juventus forward was a member of Ghana's 2021 AFCON squad that bowed out of the competition without a win.
Although, he scored in Ghana's last game it proved to be a situation of much ado about nothing as surprise package Comoros stunned the Black Stars.
He has made a total of 18 appearances for the senior men's national team of Ghana with a goal scoring return of seven.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that 28-year-old Ghana striker, Richmond Boakye Yiadom, has said he dreams of being Ghana's new goal machine like Asamoah Gyan was for the Black Stars for years.
The Beitar Jerusalem forward, noted that producing the goals for the misfiring Black Stars, was something he was working on.
Boakye says he knows the need for a lethal goal scorer in the Black Stars team, and that he wants to be the player that provides that.
