English born Ghanaian forward Kwadwo Duah rejects Black Stars call up ahead of Nigeria showdown

English-born Ghanaian forward Kwadwo Duah has reportedly turned down an approach by the Ghana Football Association to have him named in the Black Stars squad against Nigeria in the World Cup playoff, it has emerged.

According to GhanaSoccernet, the St. Gallen attacker has made himself unavailable for the Black Stars' encounter against the Super Eagles despite not suffering from any injury.

Duah was born in London to Ghanaian parents and moved to Switzerland at a younger age, meaning he is eligible to play for Ghana, England and Switzerland.

Who is Kwadwo Duah

Born in London to Ghanaian parents, Duah and his family moved to Switzerland at a young age. Frimpong is eligible to play for Ghana, Netherlands and England.

However, he has already featured for the Swiss Under-18 and Under-20 teams. The forward is in red-hot form in the Swiss Super League for St. Gallen, scoring 10 goals in 24 appearance in the 2021/22 season.

Sports Brief earlier reported that Dutch-born Ghanaian defender, Jeremie Frimpong, could leave Bayer Leverkusen to join German giants Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.

The former Celtic right back has attracted interest for the German champions following his wonderful performance for his club in the Bundesliga this season.

Per a report on German outlet Sport1, Bayern Munich have shown interest in the 21-year-old, with Spanish powerhouse Barcelona also said to be interested.
