Administrative Manager of the Ghana League Clubs Association, Mr Oduro Nyarko says Sulley Muntari needs to be in the Black Stars team for the World Cup qualifier against Nigeria.

Ghana hosts the Super Eagles on March 25, 2022 in the first-leg in Cape Coast before traveling to Abuja for the second leg in four days time.

Ahead of the crucial encounter, Mr Oduro Nyarko, who has been impressed with Muntari's display in the domestic league is urging the technical team to invite the veteran midfielder.

"Sulley Muntari always give tailored measured passes and he needs to be in the Ghana's squad which will face Nigeria in the upcoming World Cup Play offs," he told Sikka FM.

Sulley Muntari has been decent since returning to the Ghana Premier League, playing four matches and providing an assist.

He won his first trophy with the Ghana giants after helping Hearts of Oak beat Kumasi Asante Kotoko to win the President Cup.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that legendary Ghana international Sulley Muntari has won his first trophy with Hearts of Oak after joining them last month.

The 37-year-old put up a superb performance as the Phobians defeated their arch-rivals Asante Kotoko 2-1 to win the 2022 President's Cup on Friday evening.

Muntari played 81 minutes of the game and was subbed off by Gladson Awako.

Accra Hearts of Oak grabbed the bragging rights in the battle for supremacy between Ghana's two most glamorous clubs in the President's Cup.

Goals from Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and substitute Patrick Razak rendered Samuel Boateng's strike a consolation in a keenly contested match.

The Accra-based giants bagged their fourth title in a space of a year with their recent success against their sworn rivals.
