'Adamant' Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac not ready to leave Black Stars job

Head coach of the Black Stars, Milovan Rajevac, says he is not considering leaving the Ghan job despite the team's shambolic display at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Ghana were eliminated from the group stage of the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time since 2006, and for the time time did not win a game at the first round of the tournament.

In his post match interview after the 3-2 defeat to Comoros, Milovan Rajevac disclosed he is here to lead the Black Stars to the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

"I will stay and lead Ghana in the World Cup Qualifiers in March," Rajevac said after the game.

"My target was to qualify Ghana for the World Cup, this AFCON is my primary target. I am looking forward to qualifying Ghana for the world cup in March."

The Serbian trainer was brought in to rescue Ghana's poor World Cup qualifying campaign, and after four games, he helped the West African giants making it to the play-offs.

However, with the draw for the World Cup play-offs set for Saturday, January 22, it is yet to be seen if Milovan Rajevac will continue as Ghana coach.

The Black Stars missed the World Cup in 2014 and will have to salvage their pride by qualifying for the World Cup in Qatar later this year.

The four times African champions were bundled out of the tournament after a 3-2 defeat to debutants Comoros Island in the final group C match on Tuesday night.
