Former Ghana captain, Asamoah Gyan's legacy at the Africa Cup of Nations can't be erased that easy after his last goal at competition popped up on Social Media.
Gyan will not be at the competition for the first time since 2008, leaving lovers of African football disappointed.
However, in a video posted on Twitter, sighted by SportsBrief.com, fans were given a taste of one of his masterful goals with some reacting.
Asamoah Gyan's last goal at the Africa Cup of Nations came at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, where his powerful header against Mali sent the Black Stars to the quarter finals of the tournament in Gabon.
"Ghana is missing fantastic player like this now," wrote Stephen Kwame Asare.
"He heads the ball to score not to defend, oh yes, this man is a legend of African football," added Asamoah Gyan fan page.
"A header by all standard. Baby jet," wrote Agye Yo.
The former Sunderland and Rennes star has scored eight goals at the competition, since he made his debut at the tournament in 2008.
The Black Stars all time leading scorer failed to score a goal at the 2019 competition, following the controversially stripping off of his captaincy just few days to AFCON 2019.
Gyan failed to make the squad this year, having been inactive for almost seven months. He last played competitively for Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities.
