Chelsea legend John Terry and teammates of Christian Atsu have flooded social media with tributes for the late winger.
Atsu was confirmed dead in the early hours of Saturday morning following a devastating earthquake in Turkey, which has claimed several lives.
The 31-year-old has been trapped under rubble for the past 12 days, but his lifeless body was pulled out of the wreckage on February 18, 2023.
Atsu's agent, Nana Sechere confirmed the passing of the player on social media.

"It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to announce to all well wishers that sadly Christian Atsu’s body was recovered this morning. My deepest condolences go to his family and loved ones. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their prayers and support.
"I ask that whilst we make the necessary arrangements, that everyone would please respect the privacy of the family during this very difficult time," he wrote on Twitter.
The news of Atsu's death has left many heartbroken including Terry.

Christian Atsu found dead
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghana and Hatayspor winger, Christian Atsu Twasam has reportedly been found dead following the earthquake in Turkey.
The Black Stars winger sadly passed away 12 days after being trapped under rubble following the devastating earthquake that hit the city of Hatay. He died at the age of 31.
According to the player's Turkish manager, Murat Uzunmehmet, Atsu was pulled out of the wreckage dead.
