The spending spree Chelsea is undertaking will likely not be complete until they have cleared out some fringe and out-of-favour players, to free up wages and also recoup some transfer fees to balance the books.
Moroccan winger, Hakim Ziyech is one of those who could be shown the way out of Stamford Bridge midway into his third season, since joining from Ajax in 2020 for £33-million.
He was part of the spending spree of over £200-mil Frank Lampard oversaw at Chelsea in the summer window after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Thomas Tuchel was the one who brought the best out of the squad and won three trophies.

Roma and Everton want Ziyech
The left footed winger has dealt with injuries and inconsistencies and has reportedly been itching to leave since a fallout with the club, amid Tuchel's second season there.
As reported by talkSPORT, both Roma and Everton are interested in the 29-year-old, but Chelsea would prefer to sell him to Italy with Roma coached by their former manager, Jose Mourinho.
Ziyech would have been reunited with the manager that brought him to England, Lampard, but the Blues legend was relieved of his duties on Monday morning amid an ongoing crisis at the Merseysiders.
Ziyech hints at Chelsea exit
The Moroccan winger took to his Instagram to communicate a hint that an exit could be on the cards. He uploaded two images of himself on a boat during vacation, captioning them:

His position at the club is increasingly threatened with the acquisition of English winger Noni Madueke, who arrived from PSV Eindhoven and is of similar profile to Ziyech, according to Pride of London.
