FootballJoao Felix: Will Portuguese Signing Affect Christopher Nkunku to Chelsea?
- Chelsea have reportedly reached a verbal agreement to sign Joao Felix on loan
- The Atletico Madrid star is set to move to the Blues until the end of this season
- The Premier League side are also pursuing RB Leipzig star Christopher Nkunku
Joao Felix’s impending loan move to Chelsea will not have any effect on the club’s ambitions to sign RB Leipzig forward, Christopher Nkunku.
Graham Potter’s side is expected to complete the loan move for the talented Portugal star, who is reportedly expected to extend his contract at the Wanda Metropolitano before sealing the move to England.
The Athletic’s David Ornstein reported on Tuesday, January 10, that Chelsea had reached an agreement to pay the youngster's hefty fee.
The likes of Manchester United and Arsenal were interested in Felix as well, but it seems the Londoners are set to win the race for the 23-year old.

Felix’s career has recently slowed down at Atletico, although he shone with Portugal at the World Cup. He was reportedly attracted to Chelsea more than any other club, because he liked the project being built at Stamford Bridge.
Where does this leave Nkunku?
With Felix set to become a Blues man for a couple of months, there came a lingering question: what does this mean for the Nkunku transfer?
Chelsea were highly invested in signing the French star and a deal was already finalised despite his injury, according to The Mirror.
Fabrizio Romano also reiterated on Tuesday that Felix’s transfer would have no effect on Nkunku’s move to Stamford Bridge.
“João Félix deal will not have any impact on Christopher Nkunku move. Chelsea have already sealed the agreement with Leipzig for more than €60m fee,” the football insider tweeted.
