Chelsea ace Wesley Fofana was recently handed a fresh injury scare as he was forced off a friendly on Tuesday, December 20 with an apparent knee strain.
The 22-year-old only recently came back from an injury setback ahead of the resumption of the Premier League on Boxing Day.
The Blues ran out 5-1 winners on the night, but the major blooper in an otherwise flawless game was Fofana’s scare.
It was the first time Fofana was featuring for his side since October when he suffered a knee injury against AC Milan in October.

He has since embarked on a rehabilitation session in Dubai and joined the Chelsea squad in Abu Dhabi, per Daily Mail.
Having missed the friendly against Aston Villa, Fofana has been looking forward to returning to action ahead of Chelsea’s game against Bournemouth on December 27.
Fofana speaks on injury scare
Amid concerns that he had suffered another injury setback, Fofana commented on Instagram saying it was “nothing bad”.
“Nothing bad champion, not even 1 month we’re back to break everything.”
It remains to be seen whether Fofana was talking about his latest injury or whether he was speaking on his overall recovery.

Earlier in the month, Graham Potter’s side was handed a major injury blow after Armando Broja tore his anterior cruciate ligament and was ruled out for the remainder of the season.
