Chelsea might have to take a deep dive into the transfer market in January, after their young striker Armando Broja was ruled out for the rest of the season.
Broja suffered an unexpected injury during a mid-season friendly against Aston Villa on December 11.
The young forward screamed in pain after collision with Ezri Konsa and had to be stretchered off the field of play.
After the game, Chelsea boss Graham Potter admitted he was concerned for the striker after the awkward knock. Tnd two days later, the Blues fans’ initial fears were confirmed.

As reported by football insider Fabrizio Romano, Broja is out for the remainder of the season, as he requires surgery.
He will thus have to embark on a recovery process and hope to be good to go at the start of the 2023/24 season.
It is believed Broja has suffered from a ruptured cruciate ligament, as per Football London.
Potter’s squad problems
Broja’s injury adds to Potter’s list of problems, as the Chelsea boss continues to deal with the growing number of players out for the long-term.
The likes of Reece James, N’golo Kante, Wesley Fofana and Ben Chilwell are also recuperating from various injuries.
Prior to Broja’s injury, French outlet Jeunes Footeux reported that Potter was in the market for a striker.
As it stands at the moment, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang remains the only available striking option for Chelsea.
