Former Chelsea captain John Terry has torn into former Manchester United captain Roy Keane for refusing a fan's request to have a picture with him.

A fan approached Keane on Sunday at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium as he watched an NFL game. The fan appeared to ask Keane for a quick selfie which he declined.

In a series of tweets that have since been deleted, Terry lamented that Keane's actions were in poor taste. As the Daily Mail reports, the celebrated Chelsea defender was responding to Talksports show host Laura Woods who had highlighted the incident.

The retired centre-back tweeted:

"It takes 2 seconds to have a picture taken with the fans. I think this is poor!"

Terry quickly deleted that tweet before reposting it again. He then changed his mind once again and took it down.

A fan had left Keane fuming after asking for a selfie

Sports Brief had reported that Manchester United icon Roy Keane was in his element during an American football match, after a fan asked for a selfie while he was watching the game.

The Green Bay Packers and the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL) were playing at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, and Roy Keane looked like he just wanted to enjoy the game.

On Sunday evening, the former Republic of Ireland international was quietly enjoying an American football match but was interrupted by a fan asking for a selfie. He did not like it. In a video doing rounds on social media, Keane was fuming after the incident and looked like he was telling the fans he was watching a game and had no time for selfies.

Terry was also involved in a spat with Zimbabwean international over the correct usage of English

Terry has been dishing out savage replies lately. Sports Brief had also earlier reported that A Zimbabwean football fan identified on social media as Pakuru has corrected Chelsea legend John Terry on social media in which the former player mocked him while responding.

During his active playing time years back, John Terry was known as one of the best defenders in the world, considering his styles of play, especially for Chelsea in the Premier League.

The former England international won the Premier League and Champions League titles at Chelsea in what was a remarkable and landmark achievement.
