Ousmanne Dembele is set to grace the Premier League after reportedly agreeing to join Chelsea, according to stunning new reports.
Dembele, who enjoyed a good run of form towards the end of last season, will join the Blues on a free transfer, with his Barcelona contract running down.
The 25-year-old had a number of options on the cards, including remaining at Barcelona and moving to French giants Paris Saint Germain.
But according to Sunsport, Dembele has opted to reunite with his former boss Thomas Tuchel, who managed him at Chelsea.
Barcelona are set to be the biggest losers in the deal, having signed Dembele from Borussia Dortmund for a staggering £125million back in 2017.
But with the club’s financial situation, they have to clear out their huge wage bill, which has also seen them sell Phillipe Coutinho to Aston Villa permanently.
At Barca, Dembele has failed to flourish overall, managing just 32 goals and 34 assists.
His spell as a Catalan has majorly been hampered by consistent injuries that have kept him on the sidelines for lengthy periods.
Chelsea revamp
Meanwhile, Chelsea certainly need to bolster their attack, especially with the imminent departures of some key players.
Defender Antonio Rudiger has already left for Real Madrid, while Romelu Lukaku is reported to be heading back to Inter Milan after failing to thrive under Tuchel.
Other attackers that have been thrown into the Chelsea transfer rumor mill are Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus.
