Three out of the four teams that will contest this season’s FA Cup have been decided and the draw has been done for the semi-finals.
In the first semi-final, Manchester City will take on either Liverpool or Nottingham Forest. The two sides are currently playing against each other in the final quarter-final fixture.
In the second semi-final, Chelsea will take on Crystal Palace in an all-London affair. The two sides have played each other twice already this season, with The Blues winning both fixtures.
Chelsea booked their place in the final four by beating Middlesbrough FC 2-0, while Patrick Vieira’s Crystal Palace trounced Everton 4-0.
After Everton’s dramatic win over Newcastle United in the English Premier League, fans of the Toffees were hoping they could carry that momentum over to the cup.
Manchester City also scored four goals as they beat Southampton 4-1. With the game level at the break, Machester City put on a show in the second half to pick up the victory and book their spot in the semi-final. They now await their fate to see if they will face The Reds or a resilient Nottingham Forest side.
The FA Cup semi-final fixtures will be played over the weekend of 16/17 April.
