Kepa Arrizabalaga revealed he is disappointed and will keep working hard after Chelsea were beaten in the Carabao Cup final by rivals Liverpool.

The Spanish goalkeeper had the opportunity to bring the Blues level but saw his spot-kick fly well over the goal-post after a marathon shoot-out that saw all outfield players convert from the penalty spot.

In a post on Instagram, Kepa Arrizabalaga thanked Chelsea for their support but revealed he will keep working hard to bounce bank stronger.

“disappointed but will keep working. To fall and rise. Disappointed after big effort during the tournament. We keep working.

Pundit criticize Thomas Tuchel for decision to sub Mendy

Meanwhile, popular TV Pundit, Jamie Redknapp has faulted Thomas Tuchel’s decision to bring in Kepa Arrizabalaga in place of number choice Edouard Mendy in the Carabao Cup final.

According to Sky Sports, Redknapp called the substitution a rubbish idea after the tactics backfired against Chelsea with Kepa missing the decisive penalty kick.

the former Tottenham midfielder accused Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel of being too clever for his own good as the decision had cost Chelsea a major silverware.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Thomas Tuchel has absolved Kepa Arrizabalaga from any blame after the shot-stopper cost Chelsea the Carabao Cup trophy against Liverpool.

Kepa, who was subbed on for the shootouts missed a decisive spot-kick to deny the Blues an opportunity to lift the domestic trophy.

His Liverpool counterpart Caoimhin Kelleher was the hero in the post-match penalties as he scored his before Kepa blasted his effort over the bar.
