His strike, the only goal of the encounter, was all Dortmund needed to inflict more misery on Chelsea, who have won only a game since the turn of the year, per the BBC.

The 21-year-old who has emerged as the man of the match, took to Twitter to express his thoughts after his stellar performance.

How did Adeyemi react?

Adeyemi dribbled right past Fernández, went around Kepa, and gave Dortmund the lead against Chelsea.

After his stunning goal, the German international took to social media to boast about his feat.

Adeyemi sinks Chelsea

A superb length-of-the-field goal from Dortmund forward, Adeyemi gave his side the win over Chelsea at home in their last 16 Champions League clash on Wednesday.

The forward's goal came during a period of sustained dominance from the visitors early in the second half, when he pounced on a clearance from the Blues' corner.

Adeyemi sensed the opportunity and ran the length of the field, rounding Fernandez and Kepa to give the Bundesliga team the crucial lead which took them to victory.

Adeyemi falls in celebration

Sports Brief also reported on Borussia Dortmund's Adeyemi becoming popular for his involvement in the team's celebration, for all the wrong reasons.

The 21-year-old hilariously tried to jump onto the back of a few teammates during the goal celebrations against SC Freiburg but toppled over the other side.

He could then be seen gingerly getting up and rejoining his teammates. The incident happened after Sebastian Haller scored the German side's third goal.
