Sadio Mane has congratulated Senegal's CHAN winning team following their success in Algeria.

The West Africans defeated hosts Algeria on penalties to win the competition for the first time, adding to the Africa Cup of Nations and beach soccer triumphs in the last twelve months.

Mane has been monitoring events in the North African nation as Senegal secured the ultimate on Sunday evening.

After the 5-4 penalty shootout victory, the Bayern Munich star took to social media to celebrate the players, stating how proud he is of the team.

The African Nations Championship popularly known as CHAN is a competition for players plying their trades in their home countries.

The tournament gives players the opportunity to showcase their talents with competition for places in the national team mostly dominated by foreign-based players.

The Teranga Lions have enjoyed a remarkable year in football, winning the Africa Cup of Nations, beach soccer championship and now the CHAN tournament.
