Suárez, who was a teammate of Messi at the time, is good friends with the Argentinian off the field of play as well.
The Uruguayan star has now responded to the leaked demands, adding that he was amused by the details and the fact that people were making a big deal out of it, the Mirror reported.
“The contract details amuse me. It is something very normal. If you check the contracts of any elite footballer, they should all have their box. I, for example, had one at Atletico Madrid and in Nacional too.”
He added that Messi was making life easier for Barca by asking for one box to be shared between their two families, instead of each getting their own box.
Ironically, the club accepted Messi’s demand for a box for him and Suárez, but the Blaugrana would not budge on his other demands.
