'I can't give too many details away. But the club has its own ideas, and I have my own ideas, and sometimes they clash with each other. But at the end of the day, things went okay," he said.
De Jong's comments touched on the recent saga, with Barcelona wanting him to leave against his wishes as they sought to make money to bring in other players. The club even tried to get the Dutch international to take a pay cut to stay in Spain, but de Jong stood resolute.

De Jong added that despite the interest from Chelsea and Manchester United, he always knew that he wanted to stay at Barcelona.
