Jules Kounde Misses out as Barcelona Register Four New Summer Signings

• But the Catalan giants were not able to register Jules Kounde as the Frenchman is currently recovering from an injury
• Barcelona will play their first game for the 2022/23 campaign against Rayo Vallecano at the Camp Nou

Spanish giants FC Barcelona have finally succeeded in registering four of their five summer signings with La Liga.

The Blaugrana completed the signings of Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Andreas Christensen, Jules Kounde and Franck Kessie in the summer transfer window.

But according to Marca, the Catalan giants were able to register all their new summer signings except for French defender Kounde who is currently recovering from injury.

Barcelona have also completed the registration of Ousmane Dembele and Sergi Roberto, who re-signed with them earlier this summer.

La Liga’s financial fair play rules require Barcelona to substantially reduce their wage bill, and prove fiscal stability, before allowing new players to be ratified.

Meanwhile, Memphis Depay has been presented with a way back to the English Premier League as West Ham has made an offer to sign the winger from Barcelona.

Barcelona are desperate to offload the 28-year-old Dutch winger to help raise money for the La Liga club to register its new summer signings.

According to Barca Universal, West Ham has made a lucrative offer to Memphis Depay as the London club wants the Barcelona star to add more competition to their offensive line.

Only One Barcelona Player Nominated For 2022 Ballon D'Or

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that France Football magazine has revealed the 30 candidates for the 2022 Ballon d'Or but Robert Lewandowski is the only Barcelona player to make the shortlist.

The nominees for the top award were announced on August 12, with Europe's best player set to be crowned at an official presentation ceremony on October 17.

The winner of both prestigious awards, as well as the Kopa Trophy (for the best player under 21), will be announced by France Football in Paris.
