Memphis Depay has been presented with a way back to the English Premier League as West Ham has made an offer to sign the winger from Barcelona.

Barcelona are desperate to offload the 28-year-old Dutch winger to help raise money for the La Liga club to register its new summer signings.

According to Barca Universal, West Ham has made a lucrative offer to Memphis Depay as the London club wants the Barcelona star to add more competition to their offensive line.

Memphis Depay who joined Barcelona last summer still has one year left on his current contract with the La Liga giants.

Italian club, Juventus are also said to be interested in Depay and are eager to complete the deal for the 28-year-old in time for their season opener against Sassuolo on 15th August.

Florentino Perez still happy to compliment' Barcelona

Barcelona’s business in the summer transfer window has attracted praise from arch-rivals, Real Madrid ahead of the 2022/23 La Liga season which commences this weekend.

According to Marca, Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez revealed the Blaugrana have what it takes to come out unscathed from their ongoing financial struggles.

Barcelona and Real Madrid are expected to go head-to-head for the La Liga title this season as the Catalan team has invested heavily in their squad in a bid to wrestle the league title from Los Blancos.

Memphis Depay pushing for Barcelona exit

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Memphis Depay is itching to leave Barcelona this summer after spending just one season with the Catalan giants following his move from Lyon last year.

The 28-year-old Dutch winger is one of the highest-earning players at Barcelona due to his high wages and the club hopes to offload him to raise funds to register their new players.

Depay’s lawyers are in discussion with the Catalan giants to effectively draw a line under his contract one year prior to its expiration date.
