Fans at the Nef Stadyumu were left furious after Barcelona star Jordi Alba kicked the ball into the stands after objects were targeted at him during their Europa League clash.
Alba was about to take a throw and then it appears that he was hit by one of the objects thrown at him by the Galatasaray fans; he then turned around and kicked the ball into the stands which sparked a brawl.
SPORTbible reports that the incident which occurred in the 85th minute left the home supporters and players furious and they charged at the Barcelona defender as the match was stopped for some time.
The referee then allowed the objects to be picked up as Galasaray players had to take their time to calm the crowd. Alba was then shown a yellow card for his actions.
Meanwhile, Barcelona are through to the quarter-final of this season's Europa League after putting up a spectacular performance to defeat Galatasaray 2-1 in Turkey.
The first leg of this fixture had ended goalless at the Camp Nou as Xavi's men failed to take advantage of their home support, setting up a mouthwatering reverse fixture in Istanbul.
