  • South Africa is in preparation for a key 2023 Africa Cup of Nations encounter with Liberia
  • The national team has not qualified for the tournament since the 2019 edition held in Egypt
  • Bafana Bafana fans showed the little faith they have in response to a team training video

Bafana Bafana supporters' lack of confidence in their team manifested in a concerning way.

The men's national team were in practice at Soccer City ahead of their crucial 2023 Africa Cup of Nations match against Liberia on Friday night.

A video of a mistake-ridden passing drill between some of the players was loaded on the team's Twitter account.

Hugo Broos blasts Andile Jali

Meanwhile, Sports Brief reported on Hugo Broos being as blunt as ever when it came to the unprofessional behaviour of local footballers.

This time it was turn of Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder, Andile Jali, to face criticism from Bafana Bafana's Belgian coach.

Touching on the allegations that he arrived drunk at a practice not long ago, Broos did not hold back in an interview with Sunday World.

Broos lays into Chiefs, Pirates

The Bafana coach also did not make it a secret that Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates' mediocrity is of concern to him, Sports Brief also reported.

This is as Mamelodi Sundowns tightens its stranglehold on football in South Africa and the Soweto giants continue their slide into near irrelevance.

Broos expressed annoyance with Chiefs and Pirates, suggesting that it was undermining the national team's ambition to return to the top.
