The South African national men's football team got another timely reminder that there is a lot of interest in their match against reigning world champions France.
Les Bleus and Bafana will meet at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy, known worldwide as the home stadium of Ligue 1 team Lille next Tuesday night. All 50 000 tickets for the encounter were sold out by Thursday afternoon.
As reported by MSN Sport, there has been no confirmation as to whether the clash will be screened live in South Africa, though SABC is expected to make yet another last-minute deal to show it.
Before then, South Africa will take on the west African nation of Guinea in Belgium. The match will play out at the Guldensporen Stadion in Kortrijk, kicking off at 7pm South African time on SABC Sport.
