- Hugo Broos has shared his frustration as one of his key players has been ruled out due to another injury
Bafana Bafana coach, Hugo Broos, has replaced Percy Tau with Royal AM’s Victor Letsoalo for Bafana’s upcoming friendlies.
Letsoalo was originally part of the provisional squad to take on Guinea and then France but did not make the final 23-man squad.
Percy Tau was included in the squad but suffered a knee injury during Al Ahly’s CAF Champions League fixture over the weekend, KickOff reported.
The news has frustrated Hugo Broos, who has become tired of the constant injuries to one of his key players, The Witness reported.
"It is becoming a problem with Percy. Since I've been here since September, he's had these problems. He wasn’t ready for the two matches we played. He was injured, he went injured back to Al Ahly and he was not there for the two games against Ethiopia because he was injured. For the last games against Ghana and Zimbabwe he was not 100% and he returned with injury and now again he's injured again," Broos said.
Bafana has already jetted off to Europe for their upcoming international friendlies. Bafana will take on Guinea in Belgium on 25 March and then turn their attention to World Champions France on 29 March.
France have also suffered an injury worry ahead of the clash as Karim Benzema has also been ruled out.
