South Africa will first take on Guinea in a friendly in Belgium before taking on France in France, four days later. On the same evening that Bafana take on Guinea, France will compete against the Ivory Coast.

As reported by The South African, Didier Deschamps’ France are expected to make light work of Bafana, but Hugo Broos is eager to see how his squad faces up to a real challenge.

A challenge is what Bafana will get as France have announced an almost full-strength squad for the friendlies.

The French squad is:

Goalkeepers: Hugo Loris (Spurs), Mike Maignan (AC Milan) and Alphonse Areola (West Ham).

Defenders: Jonathan Clauss (Lens), Lucas Digne (Villa), Lucas Hernandez (Bayern), Theo Hernandez (AC Milan), Presnel Kimpembe (PSG), Jules Kounde (Monaco), Benjamin Pavard (Bayern) and Raphael Varane (Manchester United).

Midfielders: Matteo Guendouzi (Marseille), N'Golo Kante (Chelsea), Paul Pogba (Manchester United), Adrien Rabiot (Juventus) and Aurelien Tchouameni (Monaco).

Forwards: Wissam Ben Yedder (Monaco), Kingsley Coman (Bayern), Moussa Diaby (Leverkusen), Kylian Mbappe (PSG), Karim Benzema (Real Madrid), Antoine Griezmann (Atletico) and Christopher Nkunku (Leipzig).

This is the first time that Nkunku has been called up to the national team after his impressive performances for Leipzig in the Bundesliga, Soccer Laduma reported.

Hugo Broos names Bafana squad ahead of friendlies, Brandon Petersen and Victor Letsoalo among those left out

Bafana Bafana coach, Hugo Broos, has officially named his 23-man squad that will take on Guinea and France in two upcoming friendly matches.

Bafana will take on Guinea on 25 March in Belgium, before taking on World Champions, France, in France on 29 March.

As reported by Soccer Laduma, Broos originally named a provisional squad for the friendlies, a squad that featured four overseas players and numerous debutants. Broos has since whittled that squad down to the final 23 that will compete in the friendlies.
