This was evident on Sunday, March 19, when Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic received his marching orders for aggressive behavior towards the match official.
In a disastrous three minutes for the Cottages, they received three red cards, including one for their manager Marco Silva as tempers flared, as per BBC.
For modern fans, that is as crazy as it gets on the football pitch, but those with long memories will recall an incident in 2015, in La Liga that was more than mouth-dropping.

It was in January 2015 in a Copa del Rey clash between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid and Los Colchoneros were growing increasingly frustrated as they were losing the game 3-2 (4-2 on aggregate).
In the second half, Turan, who was clearly losing his mind as the game progressed, somehow took out his anger at the linesman, taking off his boot and hurling it in the direction of the stunned match official, as reported on Bleacher Report.
While the boot did not hit the linesman, Turan was clearly on the wrong as per the football laws but somehow escaped with nothing but a yellow card.
At the time, the incident was quite meme-worthy, and it led to some hilarious banter on social media.
