Antoine Griezmann’s superb start to the 2022/23 season for Atletico Madrid could be disrupted as the Rojiblancos could lose the services of the French international this summer.
Griezmann who has scored in two of Atletico Madrid’s three opening La Liga games this season, has been on a two-year loan from league rivals Barcelona.
According to Barca Universal, Griezmann could leave Atletico Madrid this summer, as Barcelona has already received interest from a number of clubs for the 31-year-old.

Griezmann will ultimately decide whether he stays at the Civitas Metropolitano or departs for a new adventure before the transfer window shuts on September 1.
Atletico Madrid manager, Diego Simeone has already expressed his desire to keep the French forward and has encouraged the club’s board to do everything to keep him.

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid are not prepared to pay Barcelona €40m for Antoine Griezmann, who is on a two-year loan from the Catalan giants.
According to One Football, Griezmann’s transfer agreement states that Atletico Madrid will have to activate the mandatory purchase clause if the player features in 50% of their matches.
Atletico Madrid, however will not be obligated to trigger the €40 million purchase clause if they keep playing the 31-year-old French attacker for less than 30 minutes per game.
