Enterprising football administrator, Nana Yaw Amponsah has promised to build a stadium for Asante Kotoko in 18 months.
Nana Yaw, who has secured an avalanche of sponsorship deals for Kotoko, is upbeat about adding a stadium edifice to his long list of achievements since assuming office.
The two-time African champions have been staging their home games at the fabled Baba Yara Sports Stadium and with rumours flying about the club's keen interest in building their own facility, the club CEO has rehashed the claims.
The young Chief Executive Officer of the Porcupine Warriors made the bold statement in a recent interview.
He explained that should the massive fanbase of the club contribute their quota, raising such a structure will no longer be a figment of the mind eye but a realistic venture.
"I will build a stadium for Asante Kotoko within 18 months if I should get 100,000 committed supporters to contribute $100 each." He told Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.
Kotoko, the most successful side in the Ghanaian top-flight, defeated Dreams FC to consolidate their position at the apex of the league log.

Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak will clash with Asante Kotoko in a second different competition at the Accra Sports Stadium for the annual President's Cup match.
The Phobians have agreed to honour the match against the current league leaders on March 4 in Accra.
The President Cup match is played to commemorate Ghana’s republic day celebrations which will have President Akufu Addo in attendance.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Kumasi-based Ghanaian powerhouse, Asante Kotoko have obtained a brand new 36-seater luxurious bus.
In a post made on the club's official Twitter account, the Porcupine Warriors disclosed the bus is a state-of-the-art 2021 Volvo Marcopolo B8R Bio-Safe Executive Coach.
The bus boasts of a 36-seater capacity which was acquired through the club's latest partnership with financial institution, Access Bank.
