Sporting Lisbon star, Pedro Goncalves’ strike against Arsenal was such a beauty that it left a section of the Gunners' fans at the Emirates Stadium impressed.

After an entertaining 2-2 first-leg draw in the Europa League last 16, Arsenal knew nothing short of a win would do against the Portuguese giants.

Midfielder, Granit Xhaka broke the deadlock inside the opening 20 minutes to put his side in control of the tie.

As Sporting were pushing for an equaliser, up stepped Gonclaves with an outrageous strike from 43 yards out that caught out goalkeeper, Aaron Ramsdale, as reported by the BBC.

The midfielder, who had his struggles in the Premier League at Wolverhampton, noticed the goalkeeper was off his line and decided to attempt something ridiculous.

His lobbed strike from distance left Ramsdale clutching air as Sporting drew level.

Immediately after the goal went in, cameras panned to the Arsenal stands where one fan, clad in Gunners apparel, had his mouth wide open in disbelief.

On the away end, Sporting Lisbon fans were in dreamland as they knew the goal was not only superb, but it also gave their team a lifeline against the runaway Premier League leaders.

The game eventually went to penalties, with Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka, and Leandro Trossard all slotting in their spot kicks.

However, Gabriel Martinelli saw his effort saved and this allowed Sporting’s Nuno Santos to bury the winner.

Sports Brief also reported on the surprise presence of Kim Kardashian at the Emirates Stadium on March 16 to watch Arsenal face Sporting.

The celebrity gave her 348 million fans a surprise as she posted an image of herself live at the arena on her popular social media platforms.

It was later revealed Kardashian’s son, Saint is a huge Arsenal fan and the trip to the Gunners' home ground was likely meant as a show of affection.
